Vision Loss

Central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO) is a rare optical disease that leads to vision loss. Up until recently, there has been no treatment to restore vision or partial vision of the eye. The eye takes in one of the highest rates of oxygen of an organ in the body and retina survival depends on the degree of collateralization. One thing that has been working as a treatment  is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. HBOT can increase tissue regeneration and vision to be partially restored. Prompt treatment and diagnosis can heavily effect if the eye can be restored before irreversible damage.
